Hello and Welcome to our New Year of meetings, programs, training, boating activities and social opportunities.
I am honored to be serving as your Squadron Commander for 2018 and will do my best to serve in the best interest of the Squadron and to meet your expectations. You are encouraged to connect with me at any time with your suggestions, questions or concerns.
We have some new and some returning bridge officers and committee members. I am personally very pleased and impressed with the caliber of our 2018 Bridge and look forward to our work and fun together for the coming year. My sincere thanks to all of you for your willingness and eagerness to serve our Squadron.
Pamlico Sail & Power Squadron, like other Squadrons and membership organizations, face many challenges going forward in areas of membership, volunteering and consistent participation. While not everyone is in a position to take on a major role, we can all work to make our Squadron more successful and have fun at the same time. Please ask yourself “what can I do to advance and improve our organization and member experience”? Suggestions include:
Sign up for and attend a training session; ask someone new to sit with you at a dinner meeting; patronize and thank our Sound of the Pamlico advertisers; ask a business you support to purchase an ad; invite non-members to attend a meeting and consider membership; make attending meetings and other activities a priority. The better we get to know one another, the more fun and sense of involvement we will experience.
Thank you for your membership and participation. I am proud to be the new Commander and a member of Pamlico Sail & Power Squadron. We truly have one of the best Squadrons in District 27. Let’s work together to keep it growing and improving.
